The Gamer’s Cafe

This week was the final release of the New Xbox Experience (NXE) and so far all I can say is that Microsoft really did their homework and got this release right.  I have to say the new interface is much smoother and easier to navigate than the old “blade” system.  I’m finding media that I had downloaded over a year ago and simply forgot about.

One of the big visual changes is the much talked about avatars.  It will be interesting how they integrate them into more games.  So far the only game I’ve played that uses them is UNO and it is really just sort of a visual addition.  I can’t say that the avatars really add much to that game, but it is nice to see them integrated to some degree.
